SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE? COME SAIL AWAY?
We almost scrapped the trip due to possible bad weather, but it started to clear up. I think, beyond the trip, and the relaxing, and the incredible power of being out on the water. Stopping traffic so the bridges can open is the COOLEST feeling EVER...LOL
We stopped traffic twice on the way out, and it's amazing. Please take a moment to look at how ornate these towers are... on on each side of the bridge, and opened, just for us....
Massive houses built on the water, and the garages up top. Trams are necessary to move the residents down to their houses..... can we say "too much money?"
Wanna peak into the richest man in the U.S.'s house... here's a look
Meet Bill Gates' compound. It's huge, and is built into the hill, so the sheer size of it is unfathomable. He had several archetects converge on the project to make it look natural, and part of the landscape... grass roofs, incredible landscape..... that entire hill is house.
Residents of the home have transmitters on their body so when they walk from room to room, the lighting and music is as they would want it. Also, the paintings are all holographic, they change to each persons taste...... incredible.
Wonder what happens when two people of different taste enter the room... sounds like a disaster
Now let's move on for a moment... why park your car in the garage, when you can fly home and park the plane at the dock?
Chahouli anyone? this is his boathouse... ask my mom, i don't have the time to explain it...LOL
And here we are at the Sleepless in Seattle house,.... amazing what movie crews can do, isn't it, not nearly as charming.... but, yes, this is is.....
Oh, and one other thing. if Meg Ryan were to park her car on the road, as she did in the movie... she'd have been towed..... or her car hit, ... or... come to think of it, as she was crossing the road, she probably would have been killed, that road is INSANE!!!!! So much for movies and fairytales
Where we anchored for the weekend, a view of downtown Seattle at sunset
This was stupid on my part, but what's life if you don't risk it? I jumped in the water, grabbed my camera, no floating device to assist me to keep said camera,or myself afloat, and swam out to get pics of Van's boat as the sun was setting.... I was exhausted by the time i made it back, but it was worth it for these pictures.....
Heading to the airport... The Clearest View of Mt.Reineer i've ever taken... It's sheer size is astounding!!!!!
